Parents as partners

At Montessori by Busy Bees we work in partnership with our parents as we believe it is paramount to support your child’s learning and development. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach supported by our key person systems which allow us to develop a unique understanding of your child’s current interests and needs.

We recognise that you are the child’s first educator and therefore know your child best. We will work in partnership to ensure we have all the relevant information to settle and build upon your child’s unique learning and development. We strive to make our journeys memorable for our parents and our children, and capture moments within our personalised learning journals.

Your key person will engage in regular conversation as this can produce useful information relating to experiences and interests which can be incorporated in planning exciting and challenging learning experiences which can then be extended at home.

We recognise how busy parents are, and understand it is not always possible to engage in daily conversation therefore we use a range of tools to support in maintaining this vital two-way flow of communication. We use newsletters, emails, parents’ evenings and open days, but most impressively our online journals ‘My Montessori Child’ to evidence daily learning experiences.

Our Parent Partnership Group within each setting regularly meet with our senior teams to discuss changes moving forwards and enhance this with their views as the voice of parents within nursery. This network can also be used to offer support when first starting your child at nursery.

We value each one of our parents and strive to assist them in partnership along a journey, supporting their child to school readiness.

Communication between parents and staff is excellent. It’s evident to me that staff know my child very well.
